Hello everyone i am new to bonsai. First off can anyone confirm if my bonsais are both chinese juniper? Thanks. Anyone have info on white furry growth on the trunk? I should have took pics of the growth but i got scared and cleaned it off right away. Thanks!

Yes, they are junipers.
Without a picture, how can we know what is the furry thing?

the white stuff ss probably scale. 99% of the time that is the white stuff people find on their trunks.

Most probably. If so, some insecticidal soap spray will take care of them.

Oh, well, my very hard water leaves a lot of deposits, a tooth brush and diluted vinegar takes care of it, they are white but not furry!!
On the other hand, white scale is a very common pest in the summer and it IS fluffy...:woohoo:
