Trident Maple leaf concerns

I've been noticing issues now with my Trident Maple's leaves and I was hoping to get some idea of what it might be.
The first major concern is many of the leaves have this sort of sheen to them that I'm not sure where it's coming from.
I have heard that a metallic sheen is an indication of thrip but I don't see any bugs at all on the tree (except for 1 or 2 gnats in the soil which I think are from how moist we've been lately). Is there any recommended insecticide I can use that will cover most/all of the common maple pests?
The second concern is many of the top leaves all have these burned/crispy points on the leaves. I attributed it orginally to getting too much sun (the leaves have started to look better after shading for a portion of the day now), but in some cases they seem to be getting worse so I wanted to make sure it was just more of the same and not some disease I am overlooking:
Lastly, all of my new growth is coming in red! I'm not sure if that is indicative as well of any major concern

Hi, Lawcat.
1-) I have no idea what this sheen might be, perhaps others can help.
2-) looks like sunburnt leaves to me. Mine are the same.
3-) perfectly natural, that's how they start.
