Hello, i have just bought neem oil to test out if i get any problems with fungice or pests. Have anyone tried it? And how did it work? I have read that it is organic and pressed from seeds in india.

That one is really easy for me to answer. And I am almost certain it cannot go wrong. So her I go......No, I have never used neem oil.

I have used it. Onsome plants it may cause leaf drop. I have had a ficus benjamina that stopped growing for near 6 months after using it. Maybe I made it too strong, I do not know. But I would test it on the species on a small area before using it widely.

I use it from time to time, on all trees, but...
Conifers don't like oily needles.
So I use it diluted and get rid of light pests easily.
WARNING: I have killed a JBP just letting it in the sun after a Neem oil session (stupid me, but that's life and bonsai).

You mean.. That is death and bonsai?

My recently dug up azaleas were infected with aphids and lace wing bugs. Neem oil seems to have gotten rid of all of them, and the azaleas are putting out new growth.

Yes, new growth in October in the northern hemisphere. The temperature has dropped to what it used to be in September, so maybe some of the trees will be going dormant soon.

I was a little afraid when LB said bonsai stopped growing xD But i will try it out if i get a problem, read very good things about it. But will be using it esrly or late when there is no sun or ray. Heard it is systematic, so might not use it on my elms, since i’ve heard they do not like systematic pest control.(?)
