Black Spots! was created by Sergipot

Hi,

I have a Redbud and it was growing really good until October-November (That's okay as they don't have many light in winter) but my redbud started dropping leaves. I saw the leaves have black spots under them, then they start getting yellow and they die.
I had a problem with mosquitoes a couple months ago, so I changed the soil.
Do anyone know what disease is this?
The old soil had small animals so I used a rose liquid for aphids, but this is too big as I'm new on this...

Thanks guys,

Hi Leatherback,

It is a Redbud, I bought a pack of seeds of 5 different bonsai: Larch, Sweet Gum, Pine, Redbud and Juniper.

leaves turning yellow and dropping is normal in fall. Based on the plants in the background I conclude you are in the northen hemisphere. So I would be more concerned with the tree not being completely bare. Is it in a very sheltered spot?

Just to make sure, it is outside right?

I see a reflection ( bottom left),so my guess is that it’s inside.

Thanks for your replies. I am growing it inside, the first three-four months gre a lot, then it stopped and started dropping the leaves. That's when I realised of all the spots. I live in the UK, so there's no much light for it now.

This is a decidious tree from temperate regions. It will not survive in living room conditions. On The other side, mowing it from living room conditions to mid winter conditions may be very stressful. The best you can do now is putting it in a cold but frost free space.

Your issue is not leaves looking bad. Your issue is that There are still leaves on. It should be bare and dormant right now.

Thank you all for your replies.
I moved it to a space where it has a bit more light and a window is always open so it might receive the cold air and realise it is in winter.
Nice to know more about bonsai.

Have a nice day everyone!!
