I have found these on my pyracantha, and I don't know what it is, can anyone help me with, this, if this is dangerous? This is also growing on the branches.

looks like woolly aphids. They live of the treesap, so I would call them harmful.

You can spend some time every day picking them off by hand, or you can try blasting them off with a hose, or try a mixture of soap and water, or alcohol, or go with a chemical system.
The chemical is the only thing that works for me. Initacloprid .22% from Bonidemin the US. There are many others that should work fine.
