Hello!

I grow a small sichuan pepper tree bonsai, repotted recently and which now is occupied by a small colony of aphids. I sprayed the tree a while ago with a rapeseed oil solution (which I really hate and the tree also) but the colony has survived and I won't spray again.

I'm thinking instead of placing some chrysoperla larvae on the tree - they feast on aphids, and eventually turn into beautiful green lacewings. I have never done this before and was wondering if someone had some experience to share? I'm worried that the lacewings might become a problem themselves and don't want to end up in an eternal loop of introducing bigger bugs to eat each smaller one which has settled ...

Thanks

Malcolm

(PS: I searched for past discussions on this but didn't get any hits on chrysoperla).
