My tree lost needles the same way. It took me all summer to get mine under control. The. Peroxide mix really worked well.

Hi Artmyth,

Here is an excellent link on the Pinus species. This page will give you a general over view for Pinus as well as information on specific species. If you scroll down you will find your particilar tree...note the link to take you to more information for that tree. Hope this helps

Hi again, Artmyth!

I was out and about today and noticed a few of our Eastern White Pines. I got up close and personal and guess what? They are in the exact same state as your pine. I recently ready that's how pines stay evergreen by shedding their old needles to be replaced with new ones. So, you have nothing to worry about...it's a natural ocurrance! :cheer:

Hey I was reading the thread in search of a answer for my pines yellowing tips. My isn't an serve as the pics, but even my new growth has yellowed tips. Due to weeks of inclement weather I have been keeping under grow lights and then full sun on the occasion the weather has broken up enough. J an using a low nitrogen liquid feed 7-7-7 once a week. Could ny regiment be part of the problem. Needles arbt dropping but u have removed ones that have slowly tuned half to full yellow. Thanks in advance!!

So the peroxide worked well? Was it mold or another fungus? Did you use regular 3% or did you purchase a horticulture peroxide that's 12%? Thanks!
