Geez man. I wish I could help.

Maybe get a stiff plastic brush and wash it off ???

Or sprinkle cinnamon over the area ??? Fungicide

Fungus is a topic I avoid. But maybe its time I read up on it. Never had a problem of any sorts. But that's what I said about pests

it seems neem oil has saved the day, so far anyway. the bark under the orange is now visible and it looks like someone wired too tightly for too long, so I dislike that but maybe it will add to the aged look providing it survives. I also had spider mites.
