Hi all!
My coworker and I recently acquired two ginseng ficus bonsais to keep in the office. These were purchased from Walmart (not the greatest of sources) a little over a week ago. The past two days, I noticed that my tree has been dropping quite a few leaves. Upon closer inspection, both my coworker and I discovered that there are many tiny little black dots on the underside of a lot of the leaves. These dots don't seem to be moving and most are easily brushed off. We're unsure about whether or not these are pests or if it may just be soil that was displaced during the shipping process. My coworker and I both also found some stringy web-like substance towards the center of the tree. I removed the ones I found and they haven't redeveloped. Please let me know if you guys can help!
