(Before and After pics)

Hey all! I seen a bonsai tree the other day at Wal-Mart and thought it was pretty badass! I decided I was gonna research and think about doing my own! After researching i realize to start a plant from seed to turn into a bonsai would take years so I did some more research! Lol long story short, I picked up a Juniper plant from Home Depot for $4.98 and decided to try it out! I trimmed it up tonight! What do you guys think! I figured if I duck it up its only $5.

Thanks in advance,
Ian.

Welcome to the Empire Forum!
Nice job, but you realize junipers have to live outdoors, right?

Yes sir! I live in the Fort Myers area! I only had it in the window sill to take a quick pic when I first brought her home. Do you think the trimming job is ok?

Yes, it's ok.
Don't take much foliage off a juniper, let it grow and get accustomed to its new surroundings.

Do however have a look on this site, and online as to what a juniper bonsai looks like. you now run the risk of goinmg in the direction of a box store bonsai which really is not bonsai at all.

Good to see you get your fingers moving and working on trees.
