It just started growing like a cuckoo in another bird's nest. I wasn't sure what it was at first, I'm still not 100% certain that it's a Chinese Elm. It looks like one to my inexpert eye.
I hope I don't kill it!
My plan, once it has recovered from the brutal pruning and repotting I've just given it, is to choose one of those shoots and let it grow roughly upwards while it thickens, maybe another 3 years?
