So.. after some 10 hours I have finally finished the first styling of this juniper. Now it is time to wait for a year and let this grow. (OK, I'll admit, I spent an hour making deadwood sections, but did not take any pictures).

Any thoughts?

In fact I do.
First of all, I love the wiring and styling of this juniper, well done!
But i think the deadwood could be shorter and the taper enphasised, to get a little more in proportion with the foliage.
Unless your plans include a vast growing of the green, of course!

Hm.. I will indeed work the deadwood even more. But it will not be shorter I do envision a huge protruding piece of tree.

The canopy now is way to open. It will get much heavier with time. The foliage is now very loose ans sloppy. Over time it should become more compact; The tree was very weak for the last 3 years and only after repotting last winter caused it to start to create bunches of foliage. I am betting on getting lots of backbudding, trim-back and separate foliage pads leaving the canopy separated in many pads with looks into the rest of the tree.

I created large section of deadwood, eventually leading to a few small livelines in the tree and 80% deadwood. It will become the feature of this tree I think.
