About 1 1/2 years ago I had the option to dig up a pomegranate - Punica, from a garden. I thought it would be a big clump shrub but when I got home and started pulling soil from the roots, the clump fell apart in pieces.

Fast forward to spring 2019, and a lot of variation in budding occurred. Some of them were growing strongly early spring, others had not budded yet late may

Over 2019 most of the plants were given away to friends. Not a single one fully died.

In winter 2019-2020 I offered the last one for sale intending to only keep the largest clump, for what I thought was a good price. When it did not sell, I decided to keep it, as it is growing on me more and more.

So in spring, I thinned the branches, clipped the top back and wired a few of them in position:

Now, a few weeks later they are glowing with enjoyment of the gorgeous spring we are having here. The big clump is still a doubt. I have brought the main trunks closer together. But I am wondering which front to go for. Any thoughts?
