Some species are easyer to root then others, some species won't do cuttings.
Some species are easyer with winter cuttings, then summer cuttings.
For next try cut the leaves in half. So it transpires less. Put it in a place out of the wind. Only let it give morning sun, 9 to 11:30 or something. Rest of the day shade.
