Hello, I'm here to share this new project I have, which is this Jacarandá Clump Style...

It is on the early stages, it's the first time I'm fusioning trees, and as far as I know there isn't any Jac. on this style, so it's kind of experimental.

One of the members here tried that approach, which inspired me to do so... So thanks for coming up with the idea.
I'm gonna share the progression so far and keep updating as it goes, hopefully it will also help others, ANY help or tip would be appreciated.

I just removed the fusion wire, because it was bitting in already, I mean, I think it's supposed to, but certainly thickened more than I was expecting for 6 months, as you can see on the last picture... Is that a problem or should be filled in when it gets thicker?

I used a thick wire, with a tube around to avoid bitting too much... Organized them already aiming some flared out roots, a few months later I've also did some wiring to adjust a bit the trunks positions...

This is today it's almost 3x taller, just removed the wire (most of the videos I've seen says one year, but it seems too much), and I was already thinking about removing the wire, but was afraid to fail the fusion...
It's getting a bit colder here as we are going into fall, but most of the trees still growing (a bit slower tho).

Hey people!
Hope you're all doing great.

Here's a little update on this project, Trunks are growing straight up, the base has been thickening very well.

I'm now in doubt about doing it's first hard prune, it's now over a meter tall.

Let me know what you think about.

Hey ppl.

Just a little update on this project.

Last summer I did the first har pruning and so far it's doing fine.
You can see that the cuts closed completely in just a few months, and that's great, BUT...

I thought I would never say that, but I think it would be cool to slowdown a bit, it is already very close to what I've wanted for it's diameter, but it's ramifications grew so fast after pruned, that I could not wire it safely.
One of the trunks did not developed very well too...

Well, we are now getting into winter, by spring I'll remove it from there (since the pot is stuck on the ground), and see how are the roots doing, can't wait for it.

As always, comments are welcome, hope you're enjoying the process.

Detail on a well closed wound, btw this species develop bark over the years, so it should be ok.
