and the last one ...now this one i like, it looks good already in my eyes.as with the others i will wait till a growth spurt and defoliate ... oh yeah all the pots these are in are no more than 4 inches across to give a size referance.i also have 6 more cuttings that i am rooting and i figure by next year will not have any more room for tropicals .guess im going to have to knock out a wall or 2 and put in some bigger windows till next time "happy bonsai to all"

I agree with you, Keith...this one is really lovely . I luv the shape you have achieved. Wow...really small pots; the cuttings must be much smaller than I originally thought for they fit the pots well.
Hey! You must post photos of work in progress when you knock out that wall to build your new solarium!!!
yah they'er small but i like the shohin size its nice to be able to pick them up and look real close ...don't be surprized you may just see that happen ther are plans in the works
Cool!...the suspense has got a grip on me!
At our next Bonsai club meeting coming up in a week we have a guest coming to demonstrate shohin *and* we each get out own little shohin to work on and bring home with us. I am sooo excited about it!
i was bored today and figured id mess with this one. it was repotted 5 month ago and i defoliated it about a month ago which didnt accomplish anything on one side so i pinched the terminal buds hoping for backbudding. i really dont know what i was thinking with the design but it works for me. once it fills out i think i'll understand my thoughts

If you put the bugger outside, it will create buds like crazy; Our (big) ficus has been moved outdoors some 2 weeks ago, and is sprouting all over te place. Looks like a fairly dark spot now.
