Hi Guys,
This is a spruce I collected/saved from a beautiful dead spruce stump a few years ago, it was very near death with only a couple of shoots growing actively.
I've left it alone in this Styrofoam box for about 4 years now and this year its doing very well. I'll repot it next spring and I might do some cutting back this winter just so I can get more buds lower down. As you can see there is not much branching usable yet but the trunk, the nebari and the taper are beautiful. What do you guys think? Are there any methods I can use to help get budding lower down or do you think I should abandon that idea and work on a bigger tree ?
