Well the buds are opening so I guess it will live. I was thinking about doing this one as a broom style with a little carving on that dead wood on the trunk, nothing real drastic.

Sorry for the delay. This tree is growing good as well. I have trimmed this tree 5 times since the last post. Next year this one might wind up getting a thread graft, to get some branching lower on the trunk. It will get some carving on the lower part of the trunk that is dead as well.
