A friend of mine from high school's family now owns a nursery. Great! I went there looking for trees and he was showing me all the pretty ones and I told him he wouldn't like me if he knew what I was going to do to them, so when he found out I was going to bonsai them he brought out four junipers from the reject pile for me to purchase at a very low price! Here is what I did to the first victim, I mean tree.

I'll get some better pictures, it actually looks nice. My camera however is not working, it takes pictures but the display isn't working for me to see what I'm taking a picture of. Hopefully that will be fixed soon and I'll post some pictures of it that are easier to see. (And without my finger in the way). I'm going to leave it alone for a while now, and let it rest and recouperate. It has a nice s-shape that I've seen on a lot of bonsai, and obviously that branch needs to thicken up and become the main trunk. It's a sprawling tree and yet it's still contained. I used the plastic hanger part temporarily because I ran out of wire and it holds the s-shape while bending the other branch down.
