howdy y'all.im calling this a red cedar but am really not sure what the heck it is i just know what it's not so im going with it. i picked this up last year and repotted it. it has been doing well until recently. it was getting too compact and loosing some of the inner leaves so i decided to open it up alittle...well after 2 days (about 3 hours) of wiring and alittle jin work i have a brand new tree. it still has a few issues that are bothering me design wise but that will be fixed in time. as you will see the differance is amazing after looking at this guy for over a year i dont recognize it. 5 inch round pot 7 inches from the soil to get some referance

Very cool. I like what you did there. I would try to add some movement to the top right branch.

It's a great start none the less. Pretty decent potential.

Mate you've done an excellent job with this one, it looks 100 times better! Great shape to work with. Its hard to tell what it is for me all conifers seem to look the same to me.

Such a shame man!
Maybe your tree-caretaker forget to water? Or maybe you told them to keep the conifers dryer, and the heat got to them?

Good luck recovering from your loss ;)

i just had a sprinkler set up to water the whole garden my trees are in.mt mom in law came over every 2 days to feed the cats and turn the hose on.
i have a mugo a mame arborvitea and a larch all within 3 feet of this one along with some decidous.3 yellow pine and a black pine nearby so it wasnt the watering just one of those unexplained occurances i guess.

i havent been having much luck at all with cedar and junis(exept for the nana)i think ill just stay away from tose speicies
