So I wired my little juniper up a month ago. I thought I was going to be able to leave the wire on for up to a year, but I was wrong. After 1 month the wire was starting to dig in pretty bad in places. I removed all of the wire and loosely re-wired some of the primary branches. I was amazed that the tree pretty much held its shape after only 1 month. Luckily the wounds are fairly unnoticeable. I will probably re-wire the trunk later on (I ran out of heavy gauge wire), but for now I am just using a bamboo skewer to add support for the little trunk.

I also pinched some of the new growth and removed a branch that was bothering me.

The tree is doing extremely well and I will post updates on it over time.

Before.

After.

It looks great, in my opinion I would trim the top branch thats growing to the left back a bit cos it will take most of the trees energy and grow heaps faster than the lower branches and will thicken up more than the lower ones, plus it will create a large canopy that will shade the lower branches. Anyway its looking good mate.
