beautiful job. in my opinion that low branch should stay it balances the tree.its you tree and your call tho ;)

Love the before and after photos. I very much like the future cuttings. :-) Are you sure about the low angle on the new lower branch in the future photo though? Perhaps tilt it a bit up to make the composition more balanced?

Very nice tree, that bottom branch makes it feel like it is hanging off a cliff IMO. I agree with leatherback and manofthetrees.

I also quite like that low hanging branch. But what we like doesn't matter. Bonsai is an art form and you are an artist. If your vision for this tree doesn't include that low branch, then you must cut it off! It will look great either way.

I would keep the lower branch, but that's just my opinion ;)
