my potentilla frut makes its beautiful yellow flower.. but each drop off in only couple of days. is that normal? i hate when the flower dies quikly.
also some leafs turn yellow, is that because i put it in strong sun? my ulmus doing quit fine in the same strong sun, as it drinks twice per day

I don't think the flowers last long, if they are getting fertilised then they will die.

i fertilize the soil only.. i somtimes mist spray with fertilze but not the flower cause i noticed the die when i spray it with fertilizer.. so does it die also when i fertilize the soil?

Adding fertiliser to the soil will do no harm after all it does need it, however I do not like foliar feed. If it is causing problems then stop doing it.

Potentilla has short-lived flowers. So thgat is quite normal. Your plant getting yellow is not a good sign. You may be watering too much. I have my pre-bonsai potentilla only in partial sun, so from about 10 till 2 it sits in the sun. I water once every day or every other day.

Looks perfectly healthy to me in that picture. Just needs some fertiliser to keep it that way. Yellowing leaves is a possible sign of lack of light,

Yellowing of leaves is NOT due to a lack of light, but rather from a lack of nutrients. Plants in the dark typically develop dark green leaves (lots of chlorophyll) to compensate for the low intensity. Yellowing means a shortage of iron or nitrogen. Typically this is nitrogen. Mayb be due to low fertiliser status, or root-problems.

Note that the potentilla in the image is not the one discussed, but is a 60-year old potentilla in my collection, which I collected and started to develop as bonsai 2 months ago.

Yes you are right about the leafs yellowing. Fir the record I shall add one more yellowing cause:
On figs leaf yellows if it is overwatered and some root rot is happening.
