		This is a maple tree I've grown from seed. Not sure how long ago, but it was before I moved to the place where I live now, so it's older than 16 years.
Technique:
Grow the trunk, then cut back to two pairs of leaves. Branches will develop, cut them back when they have two pairs of leaves. Side branches will develop... etc... etc... etc... I've been doing that for years, and nowadays, in the growing season, I have to prune it many times during the season.
So, the experiment has worked out OK, but there's one small problem:
I can't find a pot that fits

A round pot with a diameter of 150 cm would be suitable

		Nice branch structure... Some of them seem quite thin and brittle.

		some big pots there, the price even bigger considering the fact that the seller wishes for profit.
