I have a few baobabs that I am growing and two of them have had branches come out at the top on the same level to either side of the tree. So one one of the trees I pinched back the leaves and I got a new branch that came up right in the middle which will be the new leader. I just wanted to share that. Also, some of the trees have some roots coming out in the air around the base of the tree. Any suggestions on how to make them grow to look attractive? I also noticed my trees have a green aphid infestation, since I just moved to Chicago ( and can now join the Midwest bonsai society) but last time that happened I dipped them in soapy water And rinsed them a bunch of times and it took care of it. Hopefully that happens again.
I also had a branch snap off in the tote I moved them in,' but I've heard that baobabs can grow from cuttings so maybe I'll get a new tree out of it.
