My Lonicera nitida that I'm hoping to train.
Tips??

What is your experience with bonsai? Just curious. My tips are the same in your other post.

Looks like nice material for a small size bonsai.
I have lonicera. A big one and a tiny one, grown from seed (found it growing in a pot in which I had another tree).
They're quite easy.

First, get it settled and let it grow.

Well, you started so much better than the majority of posters here... and your horticultural knowledge will be a huge advantage!

Here's a Hebe that I've started too.
Very cute and healthy shrub.

Not sure if Hebe is very suitable for bonsai - the varieties I know aren't, really.
