Thanks to you leatherback I have came up with another sketch abandoning the twin trunk , you're right I really need to consider all options ;)

I think like this it looks more majestic but maybe too tall for a Hawthorn?

Here is the whole tree

Looking at it again it does have taper all the way to the 2nd to last branch if I cut the top and carve it out a bit

But I think it will look to tall no?
Any thoughts?

Hahaha dammit lol
It does look more like a conifer don't it ,is it the branch placement ? I'm really just sketching to get an idea where the foliage might be but I suppose it will reflect on what the tree will look like , any tips on how to see this more like a Hawthorn ?

I like your tree, looking forward to your final decision. I would not cut anything and see what the tree develops on new branches, then start thinking what to do with it. Just my thoughts

Ok I think I've got it now lol thanks kristof :) I'll try make another sketch ;)
Thanks Indo Andreas , i will wait till next year before cutting anything , im just training my eye to" see the tree within the tree" :) for now there are buds growing all over the top half of the tree and on the other small trunks but I am hoping it will develop more lower down on the main trunk .
