so i was roaming the web the other day and came across a article on wound healing. it states that using aluminum tape actually helps heal a cut faster (about half the time) and a lot nicer than cut paste or wound sealer. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with this or has seen it done. i have some hard pruning i want to do on a JRM but wanted to get some incite if this might actually be recommended or if its bogus information. ive attached the link to the article in case some are interested.

Best method to heal a wound is simply time in my opinion. I tried few methods on smaller cuts, there was no visible difference using wound paints , wound paste or using nothing. I have no idea about long terms though.

Then there are a few species that does not handle wounds well, but in that case, a wound paste would not make a big difference in my opinion

im definitely an open minded beginner that loves and wants to learn why this is going to be more of a question than a response of what you said. But from what ive read, doesn't wound paste or sealer protect/seal wounds for those trees that are prone to disease through large cuts, but also aids in healing over. ive watched some videos say to do hard chops in summer on mainly deciduous trees when heat allows it to callous over faster, is that true?
