I have no idea. It is a "garden variety". a club member took cuttings 2 centuries ago, and has been handing out plants for peanuts to us monkeys. So .. It is not the best species, and will not easily create full pads. This winter I will try my hand at grafting on another juniper. If that goed well, I might start thinkinh whether it is worth the effort to do this with the others too.

If you are the vance wood that is in the nuthouse too, I posted my tree there a bit ago, but never got a reply.

Thank you very much for the advice.i tried pruning around this time last year with around 3cm runners to try to invoke some back budding or strength to shoots further back.

But no joy. This year I will so far left them extend.
