As some of yu know, I am taking classes in the international bonsai school of Werner Busch. Now I am at the end of my second year there, and had an exam weekend. The exam this tie consisted of a styling of a raw plant to bonsai, in 4 hours. After that, the tree was judged on 10 aspects of bonsai styling, from the selectiong of the style, through to wiring technique and forming. Happy to say that I did well, and with an 8,7 am now allowed to start the third year. As the weather was amazing, we did our examn in the sun outside in the bonsai museum in Dusseldorf. Such fun! But 4 hours is oo short..

The school just plans them; Typically a 2 or 3 day weekend.

This one has picked up speed quite well this summer. I have only thinned a little once I got runners. Next spring I will start to cut back again. The needle foliage has started to convert to scale again.

This winter I gave this tree another workover. Brought the main branches further down and build multiple layers. Feels a bit better now. Now it is thime to get better control of the foliage. The stress foliage is almostgone from the growing tips. In summer I will thin it out again.

This tree is slowly developing, yet I am not happy with it. Not sure what is bugging me. Maybe I just need to find a fitting pot to solve it?

Normally I would say, make me an offer; Anything is for sale. But for my milestone projects, my "competition winner" tree and the first big demo tree (Next year at EBA) will not be sold, no matter the offer.

But thank you. Glad you like it :)
