Best way to wire and prune Chinese elm 5 years 1 month ago #47321

Hi just wondering if anyone can offer some advice on pruning & shaping this tree. I've removed a lot of lichens and wired t he two lower limbs to point down a bit.

First 2 are how it looked before and 3rd on is is after wiring but not the best pic. Quite a few leaves fell off in the process.

I think you were sort of shy on wiring it. If you are going to stress the tree, do it completely. My two cents.
