Hey guys, this is my maple i have grown in a bucket for 5 years, and I have transfered it into this pot because I thought it was ready. There is a nics nebari, but I have buried it in the thought of roots getting thicker while buried. What do you guys think of this tree? I know its my tree, but what ideas would you use on this tree if it were your own?

Looking at your previous post I think that what I think and what I would do would not be relevant, right?

No, not at all. I took your advice and decided to make it more natural looking. Go ahead. What do you feel would be nice?

Hmm.. SO many thoughts.

I think this tree will benefit from taper in the trunk. As such, I would reduce the height, perhaps to the lowest branch. Then use that branch as new trunkline. After reduction it should pop a number of new side-branches which you can start your crown with. Or you let them run for a bit, to increase taper even further.
