Hi everyone! Am new posting here! Hope you can help please! My sweet plum grew a little wild during winter but most of the new growth is right at the end of the branches.... How much do I prune back so I can see his shape again? I know he needs repotting but will wait until the summer.
Thanks so much!

Easy way to prune is, to prune it back in a triangular shape.
And then in the front view remove any crossing branches that limit view of the trunk.
No worry about new growth on the tips, if you cut it back, it will bud back and it will brance out.
Thanks so much for the advice! Do I need to remove the very small sticks of growth all over. Tiny little brown twigs, some barely half a centimetre in length. Many thanks
