So I have a ficus for a little over a year and a half and besides trimming off leaves when.it get really bushy I haven't touched a branch or wire anything. I've just been caring for it and letting it grow. But the branches now.have 2 or 3 shoots off of them and they're growing fast and soon it's going to be pretty wild looking. But I'm new and can't get a straight answer. I need advice on how to style it and what I should be doing where to go from here. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Before cutting a branch or wiring one you need to have a plan for the tree. Some would use the word vision. Nobody can give you the vision. You have to do that yourself.

Look at the tree, turn it around, find the front, get a pad of paper sketch an idea, then another, and cut and wire when you have a plan.
