I have a bonsai that's ready for some trunk wiring. It's mid summer here and it's growing fast....dont want the trunk to get too thick before i can get some movement happening. Is it OK to wire in summer or should I wait?

Ok don't laugh at me.....It's this jacarandah which I know isn't ideal bonsai material but I've seen some nice ones and I have high aspirations for this plant :)
It's a couple of inches taller than this right now but the top half of trunk is green still. The trunk is about a centimeter thick.

Well I don’t know anything about that kind of tree, but if you want to wire the trunk to get some movement in it I say wire on!
Put the wire on first, before starting to bend the trunk. You’ll maybe need some thick wire or a few strands. When you bend the trunk, keep the wire on the outside of the bend to help avoid splitting. Push on the wire to bend it, don’t pull on the tree. Like I said I don’t know about that kind of tree, maybe it’s flexible maybe it’s not.
It’s also possible to bend it some, and bend it a little more later.
