Hi everyone,

I just bought two jade trees today and tried my best to develop them into bonsais according to everything I learned til now.

This was them before my styling

After

For the left one, I only pruned it so that the leaves look like an umbrella and I really have no further ideas of whether I need to shape it into other ways.

And for the right one, I want to experiment on whether it can become a root over rock piece. So I wrapped its roots on a big rock and them placed it inside a plastic tube made from a big plastic bottle. I then bent the truck and took out as much as the branches as possible to let it look like a cascade tree. I am not sure if I need to further defoliate it, or just leave it like this until it develops further.

I would be really grateful if you can give me some advice on what I can do further. And if there is anything I did wrong/alarming, which could hurt the tree, please also let me know. Thank you so much!

Bonsai is an art of patience. You have worked enough on the tree for now. The trees needs to recover.
