I bought this Katsura at the end of summer 2024 with the intention of having a play with it, but completely forgot about it and it did its own thing.I’ve just found it and plan on attempting to create a bonsai.So far the only certainty is I’m going put it in a pond basket or the ground in spring.My current options are 

1. Leaving it to grow and thicken for a couple of years
2. Cutting it back and using the branch marked in pic 2 as the new leader.
3. Cutting the current leader and use the smaller branch in pic 3 as the leader.

I just wanted to see what you guys thought and if there is anything different that you might do?Also I’m currently using the branch on the right as a sacrificial branch, but would you guys remove that?
