Hi to all.

I recently bought a Cedrus Atlantica in a nursery and I am hoping to get something decent from it.

Here are some pictures (sorry, the background is not plain):

How can I get ramification from branches like this?

The tree needs ramification. How to? Pinching? Should I cut the tip of the branches?

Thank you!

Hmm. Where exactly do you want ramification? What is the style you had in mind?

You will need to wire the branches in place to get maximum sun exposure. And expect to keep te wire on for a looong time as they do not take shape easily.

For ramnification you need the inner branches to develop. Easiest is to cut back, maybe to a small side branch. Then let the rest of the branches grow long, and cut those back.

I was thinking twin trunk / informal upright.

Should I cut back the branches to what length, +-?
