Hi! Bought a ficus retusa 4 years ago. It was a very good looking bonsai and my very first one:

On my first year as a bonsai minder I nearly killed it. Let it dry for several weeks under the mediterranean sun and lost almost all its folliage:

Moved to Ireland and for the last two years its been kept indoors, fertilised every month and repotted.
Last month I moved it outdoors:

Don't know what to do with the branch close to the base, cut it? its getting too far from the main trunk
Will appreciate some tips and advices as I don't really know which way to go.
Thanks!

If you don't like it, chop it.
