So conclusion is see photo attached, but insert Bonsai. So guess I will just let this thing grow, start pruning, and wiring this thing however. Maybe someday it will be a bonsai worthy of the name bonsai, but for now it will be a bonsai.

Hm.. not really. I think you missed the core of the thing Auk was tryin to say.

In order for something to be a bonsai, it has to have some sort of impression of age. Braches need to be organized in a natural rythm. There needs to be multiple levels uf sub-branches. The trunk has to express character. It is MUCH more than just a woody plant in a pot.

This really is a cutting. And although you can have fun working with it, it is not a bonsai. And only very talented people manage to create a bonsai out of material like this within a reasonable timespan.

I would also add that Bonsai is not that much the end result, rather the path you take in turning a basic tree into something that can be called piece of art. There is never complete bonsai and it keeps constantly evolving together with its master.
