These are my accent plants. I have three different species - had 4, but one of them didn't survive winter (probably got wet and rotted away).
These are in one bonsai pot. Next year I'll transplant them to small pots with a few of them in each pot.
I love the color.

The other two types I have, have no flowers yet. I'll post pictures of 'm once they do.

I got some very miniature strawberry plants which I will one day use as accents I think.

Hey Auk (besides the obvious) what is the purpose of the accent plants? I am assuming they are the plants that sit alongside the bonsai. Are there specific rules about the plants such as size...shape...type etc. I do not see them by all bonsai are there particular bonsai types that need the accent?

Your questions are answered on this very website, including the specific rules:
www.bonsaiempire.com/origin/related-arts/accent-plants

You will see them in Tokonoma settings and at exhibitions.
