I repotted my elm bonsai in early June since the soil was quickly drying and i live in hot Spain although it was late spring-summer... Before repotting it was growing so fast that needed to be trim every two weeks.
When i repotted I also cut some of the roots and a big dry hard root... i have no experience with bonsais.. so im scared that i may have cut a main root? Then i place him back in a bonsai soil (black bonsai mix soil no stones or gravel) since then the tree has stopped growing and the leaves look dull and yellow. I don't knwo what to do next!? Advise will be much appreciated! Thank you

Does not seem to be too unhappy. Probably working on the roots. The soil looks very wet & compact. Why did you not use a more suitable substrate?

Nope.
Don't repot it twice, it will stress your tree even more.
Next time (next year, maybe?) use a good soil mix for bonsai, it makes all the difference.
