Hello!

I am trying to repot my Ginseng Ficus bonsai tree. In the repotting videos I've watched, they all secure their bonsai roots to the pot with wires. I am thinking about doing this, but just in case, is this nessessary for me to do?

If so, does any wire work, or do I need a specific type of wire? I will post a picture of the wire I am wanting to use, but don’t know if it’s ok!

You mean the fat root type house plants? They don't really lend themselves to bonsai techniques.

But should I still secure them, or do you think it’s fine seeing that it’s technically not a true bonsai tree?

Whatever pleases you. I never secure my houseplants, but if you think high winds will shake the plant, or wild animals can knock it over, then yeah, good idea.
