Hello fellow bonsai lovers!
I have been researching to get started in bonsai for awhile now, books youtube and internet.
But I find myself getting stuck when trying to decide on what soil/substrate I should use.
I live in sweden and I have a hard time finding many of the components usaly mentioned by bonsai growers and guides.

What I can find localy seems to be:
* Vermiculite/perlite (What I've seen these usaly are not recommended)
* LECA, small 2-6mm (I've seen some posts about how these can be used instead of turface?)
* Peat moss (composted bark)
* Sand and gravel is also available but doesnt seem to add much else than drainage, do I really need it?
* Pumice is also relatively easily to get.

Does anyone have any advice? I'm feeling a bit lost.

Pumice+Peatmoss+Perlite works for azaleas and camellias.
Pumice+Leca+ peat+gravel works for conifers.

Thanks for the reply :) Would the mix for conifers work for deciduous aswell? My guess is that conifers would want a lesser part of the peat than decidous ones might need?
