I have an Azalea Bush that I got at the store and it is in a pot 8 x 7. Can i put it in a bonsai pot that is 12 x 9.25 x 3.75. or do I need to use a smaller pot?

Depends if it needs a larger pot, if it needs a thicker trunk etc. Not easy to comment with our picture.

It needs all those things but not looking to grow the trunk really big and thought I would be able to have it grow some in a bigger Bonsai Pot but maybe not a good idea? Picture below.

Go big, huge or plant it in the ground.
