Matter as in subject.
I do repot all my deciduous in late winter/early spring, while all the junipers get serviced in fall (usually mid-october): given the seasons here (northern italy) it still gives them at least a couple of month of mild weather to heal before there are real chances of frost. When frost happens, that is (not really much the last few years).
What's the agreement here on when to repot pines?
I've seen people strongly seconding repotting in spring, others say in fall like I do with the junipers. Others say they have the best results when repotting is made in the middle of the summer, when growth is slow due to the heat; that, over here, would be more or less from early july until more or less now: we still have 28-32 C highs and 16-20 C lows and it should stay this way for another week before it starts to go down a bit.
The repotting I'd be making should be pretty harmless (don't expect to do much to the roots, in theory, just need to move it from grow box to the actual bonsai pot), so: when would you do it if you were here and why?
