Established Jaboticabas - moving vs. repotting was created by John@Sisler.info
Posted 2 years 11 months ago #68481I want to put them together I into a display.
To assemble the new display they have to be moved, but they do not need root redux/grooming yet.
My hope is that ‘moving’ them with complete root balls will be less stressful and that I can move them now even though it is late in the season for reporting this deciduous variety.
Also, in have no plans to prune, graft, or wire this year.
Thanks kindly in advance.

Posted 2 years 11 months ago #68507I am of the opinion that transplanting without rootwork is a bad idea. The only way to improve the rootball is by working it. Transplanting at a time that is not optimal for rootwork should therefor only be done in case of emergency. In my book at least.

I agree with Leatherback, repotting in the Spring with some rootwork is the way to go.
