Hello!

I was looking through the soil tab where it says " Deciduous: 50% akaduma, 25% pumice, 25% lava rock" and " Coniferous and Pine: 33% akaduma, 33% pumice, 33% lava rock". I noticed that jade doesn't really fit in either section according to the species tab, so does it just get included in one or does it have it's own amounts?

There are no such thing as one soil per species. Your climate, care and personal preferences plays a big role. I grow crassula indoors in 75-25 cactii soil-pumice. Watering ever 14 days in summer and once a month in winter.

I also keep more mature crassulas outdoors. I keep them in 50-50. No watering, just natural rain. In winter protected from frost and no watering at all.

Both works for me in Sweden and I have no reason to change it.

I use no akadama at all on any trees. I see no reason to pay double the price for substrate from japan when I can get better and cheaper material from Iceland.

I do the same here, but don't have any indoors, on winter, I place under a porch... 50/50 - Soil/Rough Sand
I think I had to water them just once last winter.

Substrate is very personal. General recipes are just that. General. No need to do anything species for jade. They will grow in anything well-draining.
