I had recently bought a chinese juniper about a month ago as my very first bonsai. I bought it from Home Depot (which i know i shouldn't do), but whatever. The soil it came with was comprised of mostly peat from the looks of it, and the soil drains poorly. I do not have that much money, so i bought a bag of akadama that will be coming in 2 days. The link to it will be at the end of my post.
Also, about a week ago the plant had off a small ledge and the plant came out of the pot because it was not tied down. (the pot is plastic, by the way.) So i had simply trimmed off a small amount of the roots ( i scraped off the bark of the roots that i cut, and it was white on the inside, so i belive that the plants roots were doing ok.) I had repotted the plant in the same exact soil mix, and i need to know if i should wait until spring to repot this juniper with or if i should be taking action soon.
The cold is already here, and since 2 days ago the weather has been around the 40's to 60's, ( I live in new jersey.) I would also like to know what i should do to avoid the roots from freezing in the cold weather, or if i should bring it inside.

Hello, welcome to the forum Mike.
I see no reason why you should disturb the plant now...
I would just wait for the propper time to do so, otherwise it seems just impatience...
Wouldn't play russian roulette with my plants unnecessarily.
