Greetings;

What are the best types and shapes of pots that are the best for this one? How deep does the pot need to be due to the way it is shaped?

Carol

The best pot for any tree is the biggest possible you can find.

In bonsai we grow in shallow pots mainly for aestetic reasons. While it does exist some general guidelines, it is very much up to personal preferences.

Ginseng ficus is not considered bonsai amongst most people in the hobby. So really there are not much guidelines about bonsai pots for them. Just get yourself a pot that you like.

Oh, yes. Mid summer is the best time to repot any ficus.

when I got it not too long ago it is in regular organic soil so I most likely will need to change that as well.
